Is this you?

Too much to do, never enough time, chasing your tail and rush, rush, rushing?

Juggling the demands of work, parents, kids, study, home…and feeling like your life’s not your own?

Starting to feel anxious and overwhelmed at things you would previously have taken in your stride?

And noticing that your body is giving you signs that it’s stressed and struggling - and needs a helping hand.

Then acupuncture for stress and anxiety can help.

I know this

And I know the amazing benefits that acupuncture for stress and anxiety can bring to the body, mind and emotions.

As we hear so often, stress is bad, but reducing it can be easier said than done. And though lifestyle changes can help (and I’ve got some wonderful tools to share), we often need a helping hand to soothe the nervous system, build resilience, and calm the physical responses.

TCM & Five Element Acupuncture - the best of both worlds for stress and anxiety

I’m trained in both TCM and Five Element acupuncture and this combination works so well with stress and anxiety. TCM acupuncture is wonderful for shifting those physical and mental symptoms that are manifestations of stress in your body - perhaps IBS, stomach pains, racing heart, shallow breathing, sweating, tingling limbs, fatigue, sleep issues, brain fog, muddled or chaotic thoughts (and that’s just to name a few).

Five Element acupuncture can also help bring the emotions back to balance. Stress and anxiety often causes dysregulated emotions, such as uncontrollable anger, sadness or depression, fear and overwhelm.  Restoring balance is the key to calm and stress resilience.

Supported by the very best relaxation tools

Been told to relax and found that only makes you more stressed? Yes, I know and that’s why the needles are so wonderful here - they do their magic and help your body, your brain, your nervous system release some of that tension.

But even then, there can be some who are so caught up in a frenetic pace, it takes time to settle. And that’s where I use my clinical hypnotherapy training to create bespoke guided relaxation meditations. This isn’t full hypnotherapy, but speaks to the subconscious, giving profound calmness and enabling each acupuncture treatment to have its full impact.

“Over the last couple of years my anxiety/depression has been at an all time high. I had no idea if acupuncture would help but went with an open mind. Having only had 3 acupuncture treatments with Becky, I can honestly say my anxiety has reduced by about 80%. I feel much calmer and focused, with other benefits I hadn’t anticipated. Becky’s friendly, relaxed approach makes each treatment session enjoyable - I would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“My anxiety and stress levels are almost non-existent after only a few sessions of acupuncture. Thank you so much Becky.”

SW – Beacon Hill

“Our teenage daughter was suffering from anxiety and OCD. In the process of researching options, we came across Becky - I am so glad we did. Acupuncture has made an incredible difference in managing her anxiety levels. I think it made a crucial difference in lowering her anxiety levels to a manageable level where therapy could start having an effect too. I can honestly say that we’re complete converts - the impact it has had has been incredible. A huge thank you to Becky for her help and support.”

Acupuncture for Stress and Anxiety

Conditions It Can Help...

Acupuncture is a wonderful treatment for stress and anxiety and other similar conditions.  Here’s just a few conditions I work with:

  • Emotional difficulties including grief, trauma, guilt, anger, depression, low mood, stress, worry and anxiety
  • Issues around mental functioning such as loss of concentration, inability to focus, mental fatigue, poor memory
  • Diagnosed mental health issues
  • Finding it hard to relax, not feeling like yourself, resilience and not feeling able to cope with things you used to

Why Me?

Many years ago, I had a job I didn’t like, with too many tasks and not enough time. I was stressed and I started to notice my health deteriorating - odd illnesses that I struggled to shake off, new aches and pains, and a lack of capacity for things I would usually take in my stride.

A friend suggested acupuncture and I’ll be forever grateful.

After a few sessions, I felt like my old self again - calm, resilient, capable with a body that felt well once more (oh and of course, I went on to train as an acupuncturist so got a new career too!).

I know the benefits of acupuncture for stress and anxiety and it saddens me to see so many people struggling right now.

And I love that I can boost my treatments with my guided relaxations, supporting every aspect of the body, mind and emotions (so you can finally, truly release that tension that’s not letting you switch off).
